Academic Communication--Professor Song Haifrom Institute Life Science Zhejiang University

On June 25, Professor Song Hai from Institute Life Science of Zhejiang University was invited to our Institute. And he gave us a great report entitled “Regulation of pulmonary neuroendocrine cells in lung development, injury and tumorigenesis”. The seminar was hosted by vice Department Head, Professor Shi Haifeng.

In his presentation, firstly, Professor Songexplainedthe embryonic development of pulmonary neuroendocrine cells in lungs, and illustrated the small cell lung cancer stem from pulmonary neuroendocrine cells. Then, Professor Song introduced the biological characteristics of lung injury regeneration, and finally explained the role of Notch signaling pathway and Ezh2 in lung injury regeneration.

After the report, Professor Song answered the questions of teachers and students of our institute and other departments. In addition, our teachers and students also had a deep discussion and communication with him for the purpose of their own researches. And Professor Song gave positive and constructiveguidance and suggestions, which inspired our research work in the future.
