Research interest:

    Global regulatory networks in bacteria, and molecular plant-microbe interactions. Currently focus on the molecular mechanisms of transkingdom signaling transduction involved in the beneficial plant-microbe interactions for improvement of crop yield and resistance to abiotic and biotic stresses using combined approaches such as functional genomics, proteomics and molecular biology, bioinformatics, as well as electronic microscopy, LSCM, LC-MS/MS and MALDI-Tof etc.

1991-1994: PhD in Forest Pathology, Northeast Forestry University, China. (Thesis: Studies on the epidemiology of poplar bacterial canker)
1988-1991: MSc in Forestry Pathology, Northeast Forestry University, China. (Thesis: Quarantine techniques and host resistance to poplar bacterial canker)
1984-1988: Bachelor in Forestry Protection, Northeast Forestry University, China. (Thesis: Techniques of early detection and the decay pattern of the burn larch logs)
