On June 30th, Professor Xiangmin Lin, Ph.D supervisor from Fujian Agriculture And Forestry University, was invited to visit us and gave an academic report called “The research on LamB-mediated Resistant Mechanism of Bacteria” for teachers and students. The lecture was presided by Professor Keping Chen, Dean of the Institute of Life Sciences.
During the report, Professor Lin introduced the research background of LamB-mediated resistant mechanism of bacteria, expounded the tendency of the resistant mechanism of bacteria and the known resistance mechanisms. Then he focused on the proteomic study about the function and regulation mechanism research of new drug-resistance proteins. After the lecture, Dr. Lin interacted with the attendees actively, and answered their questions patiently, which benefited the teachers and students a lot.
Professor Lin finished his postdoctoral research in the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2009-2013，and was selected as a distinguished professor in 2013 Fujian Minjiang scholars. He put forward the outer membrane protein LamB-mediated pathway, which is a new mechanism of resistance in bacterial. In recently ten years, Professor Lin had published more than 10 articles in the Journal of Proteome,such as "Journal of Proteome Research", "Journal Proteomics" and "Proteomics" .The total impact factor is more than 70，and his papers were cited more than 400 times.
