On May 29th, Prof. Cui Xiaofeng was invited to the Institute of Life Sciences. Prof. Cui delivered an academic lecture named How to Present Your Research Results in High-Level Journals. Tan Xiaoli, vice-dean of Institute of Life Sciences,hosted the lecture. All the faculties and students attended the lecture.
Prof. Cui first introduced the Molecular Plant as the top five journals in the field of plants biology,its creation history, manuscript source, and acceptance rate. Then he combined the published articles of the journal to analyze the types of articles received and the acceptance criteria. And stressed the magazine's requirements for innovation and depth of the article. Finally, taking MP as an example, he explained in detail the writing of the article, the submission and how the author communicated with the editor of the magazine, and finally allowed his research results to be successfully published in high-level journals.
Dr. Xiaofeng Cui, is currently deputy chief editor and editor/researcer of Molecular Plant. He received his Ph.D. from the Biotechnology Institute of Zhejiang University in 2004 and his Ph.D. thesis won the 2006 National 100 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation. From 2005 to 2007, he was engaged in post-doctoral research at Purdue University in the United States. After returning to China in 2007, he was engaged in research at the Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Shanghai Academy of Sciences, in 2012, and won the honorary title of Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Star in 2007. Since June 2012, he has been the deputy chief editor of the Molecular Plant. In 2013, he was selected by the Chinese Academy of Sciences for the selection of excellent talents in the field of literature, information, and periodical publication. In 2015, he was hired as the distinguished researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has published more than 10 papers as a correspondence author or first author on internationally renowned journals such as Plant Cell, Molecular Plant, Plant Journal, Journal of Virology and Journal of Experimental Botany.
